Admission Procedure to B.P.ED.


Application for admission.


    i) i. Notification for admission to the course shall be made public through local dailies and electronic media by the office Director General/Director, Youth Services & Sports.
    ii) ii. Application forms can be downloaded from the College Website (www.jkgcope.net) or can be obtained from the office of the principal,Govt.College of Physical Education Ganderbal

Submision of Application Forms

Hard copies of the application form along with treasury receipt of Rs.100/- only, remitted to treasury under major A/C Head “0202/Sports/800 others”on or before the last date prescribed and the hardcopies shall be submitted in the office of:

    a) Directorate General/Director Youth Services and Sports at Central Office M.A.Stadium Jammu.
    b) Principal, Govt. College of Physical Education Ganderbal, Kashmir.

The application form shall be accompanied by the attested copies of the following certificates:-

    a) Matriculation (for proof of Date of Birth).
    b) qualifying Examination marks Sheet
    c) Certificate and Mark sheet of all degree/diploma (As applicable).
    d) Copy of state subject certificate.
    e) Self declaration on the prescribed form.
    f) Self addressed envelope with postal stamp of Rs. 10/-.
    g) Medical Fitness certificate in original.
    h)Character certificate in original (from school/institution last attended).
    i) Reserved Category certificate, if any.
    j) Sports achievement certificate
    k) Treasury fee receipt

Admission Procedures:

    a) All application forms for admission to B.P.Ed. Course shall be scrutinized in the office of Principal, Govt. College of Physical Education. The candidates whose forms are found complete in all respects shall be entertained for test/interview
    b) The candidate shall bring all original certificates/documents for verification by the admission committee at the time of their reporting for viva-voce/interview.
    c) A Candidate shall have no right to claim for admission, if he/she fails to produce any relevant document pertaining to admission at the time of interview before the admission committee.

SELECTION LIST:

    a) After completion of the selection procedure the list will be submitted to the Chairman under proper signatures of all the members of the committee, for his final approval
    b) Immediately after the completion of selection procedure and approval of the Chairman along with the waiting list, the selection list will be published in the leading news papers of the state. Selected candidates shall not be informed individually.
    c) iii. Operation of wait list against unfilled vacancies shall be filled by Principal and under proper intimation to Director General/Director, Youth Services & Sports (Chairman).
    d) iv. The Selection procedure shall be completed before the University declares the last date of the closure of admission, therefore, no candidate(s) Direct/In-service shall be granted admission to the course.

Cautionary Notes:

    i) The admissions shall be provisional subject to their confirmation by the University of Kashmir..
    ii) Candidates will be admitted to the course on production of their credentials/documents etc. if, at any stage any of the documents/credentials furnished by any candidate is found forged or false or tampered, his/her admission shall be cancelled forthwith.
